SYVELLE is a home-based, independently-ran clothing line specializing in creating unique designs and graphics on thrifted and upcycled apparel. Inspired by graphic illustration, animals, grunge and street aesthetics, SYVELLE was designed to express uniqueness through such inspirations and for you to add clothing to your closet that separates itself from the rest.

With fast fashion at an extreme high, SYVELLE works to combat this trend with authenticity and sustainability—everything is done by one person. The prints you see on each garment are the results of hours of careful time and thought, along with the process of creating something unique from used and thrown away clothing. The art each garment showcases has been through years of countless adaptations, for this brand took almost 4 years to launch because of the amount of time spent trying to make my art suitable not only for the style I wanted to achieve, but to the vision I had for what I wanted SYVELLE to represent and mean.

About The Artist

I grew up not quite knowing what it was like to fit in. I knew who I was and what I wanted to be, but knew that I could not bear to be alone because of my differences, and so through trial and error, I tried to fit the mold. The results always came out the same; too much of one thing to be with one group and not enough of anything else to be with the other. Through loneliness and the desire to be heard just once, I began creating characters. Characters who were outcasts, but had no boundaries as to who or what they could be. I felt as though certain people looked at me as if I was not a person, and so my characters became anything but human—animals are as frightening as they are beautiful. Born from everything I was made of, everything I was questioned for, and from everything that was once shamed, I finally granted myself the ability to scream.

SYVELLE was created for those who in all ways do not fit in: the outcasts, the black sheep, the eight balls, the loners, the rejects, the lost and forgotten—all are what SYVELLE is meant to embody and embrace.
